MY SKY · LOOK AT THE STARS

Put a name to
the stars.

My Sky is the interactive star map in Look At The Stars. Explore the sky for your observing place, tap a star to learn its name, and connect the view on your screen with the sky above you.

An astronomy app in development. Coming soon.

A SIMPLE WAY TO BEGIN

How My Sky helps you explore.

  1. Choose your observing place

Use a sky map for the place you want to observe from. Start with a familiar direction or a bright object, then explore the stars around it.

  2. Tap something that catches your eye

Select a star to see its name and learn more about it. The surrounding labels help you see where that object belongs in the wider sky.

  3. Connect the map with the view above you

Compare the patterns on the map with the stars you can see. On iPhone and iPad, camera mode adds augmented reality to the experience.

A LITTLE CONTEXT CHANGES THE VIEW

From a point of light
to a familiar sky.

A star map gives a bright point a name and a place among its neighbours. My Sky brings object selection, star labels and a compass into one view, so you can move between a close look at an object and the pattern around it.

Look At The Stars includes over 160,000 celestial objects to discover. You can explore the map before going outside, then use it as a companion while you get to know the sky. What you can see outdoors will also depend on the horizon, light pollution and the weather.

LOOK FIRST. PLAN NEXT.

Turn curiosity
into a night outside.

Once you know what you would like to look for, Sky Calendar helps you find viewing times for planets, meteor showers and satellite passes. If the Moon is your next destination, explore the lunar eclipse planner for visibility and local timing.
